“A Black label nano lot from the Gigante plot at Cañas Verdes, one of the three Hacienda La Esmeralda farms on the slopes of Volcán Barú above Boquete. Eight-year-old Geisha trees produced this fourth seasonal pick, dried whole for 50 days in climate-controlled conditions, keeping every bit of sugar on the bean. Fruit-forward character runs from tangerine and kumquat up front to honey and ripe peach underneath.”
