Highlights
“This coffee comes from the Samoro Cooperative in the Letefoho highlands of Timor-Leste, now in its fourth consecutive year of partnership between Karst Organics and a tight-knit group of 11 farmers led by Orlando Soares. Grown under Mount Ramelau, these Typica and Timor Hybrid (HDT) varieties are fully washed with a 40-44 hour anaerobic fermentation using clean mountain water. After fermentation, the coffee undergoes up to 8-10 intensive washes before being dried on raised African beds for 7-10 days. The partnership has transformed the community—Karst's purchase from Samoro grew from $5,035 in 2022 to $19,825 in 2025.”
