“Organic Colombia Huila Excelso EP is grown by ASEPROPAZ (Asociación Ecológica Productores de Paz), a network of smallholder farmers in the mountains of Huila dedicated to organic farming, environmental stewardship and specialty coffee. Huila's volcanic soils and elevations of 1,500-2,000 metres give the slow-ripening cherries behind its sweetness and clarity, and many member farms also grow bananas, citrus, avocados and native shade trees. Each harvest is handpicked, depulped, fermented, washed with fresh mountain water and slowly dried. In the cup: sweet panela, creamy milk chocolate and lively citrus over a silky body, with floral notes emerging as it cools.”
