Highlights
“Fazenda Rio Brilhante sits in the Pântano micro-region of Minas Gerais, where well-defined seasons and consistent rains make it ideal for natural coffees, around 80% of the farm's output. Harvest is largely mechanical using a colheitadeira, with careful calibration to pick cherries at optimal maturity, followed by density sorting at the station. Founder Inácio Urban began with 20 hectares in the 1980s; today his children Erika and Fernando run the farm, which counts over 1,600 hectares of planted coffee across 45 sections separated by native trees.”
