“El Carmen de Acevedo is a smallholder group in Pitalito, Huila, working under a sustainability programme James Gourmet has bought from for years. The coffee is Castillo and Caturra grown between 1400 and 2100 m, decaffeinated with ethyl acetate at a plant in Manizales, then roasted as a developed, traditional espresso. The cup is bright and apple-like with a citric edge.”
