Carlos Aguilera Franceschi, grandson of Carmen Estate founder Efrain Franceschi, spent decades guiding that legendary farm to international acclaim, with coffees winning at Best of Panama auctions. After the family sold Carmen Estate to an overseas buyer, Carlos saw not an ending but a new beginning. Together with partner Jean Paul Langenstein, he created Franceschi Coffee in Volcán—a project focused on smaller, carefully managed plots cultivating only Geisha. This washed lot represents that philosophy: classic processing highlighting clarity and brightness, allowing the variety's natural elegance to shine through honeysuckle, orange blossom, and delicate citrus notes.”
