Highlights
“Ninga Hill is a remote coffee-growing community on the border between Kayanza and Muramvya in Burundi. After years of conflict forced families to flee their homes, the community has returned and is rebuilding its coffee industry with support from Long Miles Coffee, which established a washing station here in 2019. This heirloom Bourbon is grown at 1,900 meters elevation and processed with meticulous care: cherries are floated and hand-sorted for ripeness, pulped, fermented for 12 hours, soaked for 4-6 hours, and dried on raised beds for 16-20 days. The result is a clean, vibrant cup that showcases the resilience and dedication of the Ninga community.”
