“An off-season Kenya from the Kathima factory in Embu, where the Thambana Cooperative Society collects cherries from multiple smallholder farmers. H&S bought it through Falcon Coffees, vacuum sealed the lots and air freighted them to keep the cup fresh, then roasted it as the last lot big enough for their Roaster's Choice subscription. SL-28 field blend, fully washed, cupped as mixed-berry jello, pomegranate and jasmine: soaring, lively acidity, clean jellied sweetness and a very short jasmine finish. H&S recommends resting it 40+ days and brews filter at 1:18.”
