Highlights
“Karimikui is a washing station in Kirinyaga, the tea-growing county east of Nairobi, where roughly 2,591 smallholders deliver their cherries to the Rung'eto Farmer Cooperative Society. Most of the surrounding plots were planted before hybrid varieties arrived, so the station still runs almost entirely on SL28 and SL34, the backbone of the classic Kenyan profile. Cherries are hand-sorted, fermented for 12-24 hours, washed, soaked a further 24 hours and dried slowly on raised beds for 7-14 days. This lot is pure AA screen (17/18), harvested in February 2026.”
