“Gundikhan Estate sits in the Baba Budangiri Hills of Karnataka, hard against the Bhadra Tiger Reserve. Saif Ulla returned from studies in Britain and work in Leeds in 2015 to revive the family farm, rejuvenating the coffee, adding varieties and tightening picking and processing, with Chandragiri a particular focus; eleven kinds of tropical fruit and spice grow alongside the coffee on mineral-rich soils. This 160 kg micro-lot marries two naturally dried coffees, the traditional Kent and the experimental SLN5B, harvested in March 2026 and dried slowly on raised beds.”
