Highlights
“Dimtu Tero is a 151-hectare semi-forest farm in Odo Shakiso, in Ethiopia's Guji zone, founded in 2016 by Getachew Zeleke. Coffee grows under natural shade inside existing forest rather than on cleared land, which is why the site reads as a farm rather than a collection of smallholder plots. Dimtu Tero also works closely with 416 neighbouring smallholders, the villages of Tero, Jelewo Anona, Mancity and Hangadi, who hold another 989 hectares between them. Washed on the farm's own station and sun-dried on raised beds, this is a floral, tea-like Guji rather than a winey one.”
