“Kii Factory is one of three washing stations run by the Rung'eto Farmers Cooperative Society in Kenya's Kirinyaga County. Built in 1995, it now works with 850 active members growing SL 28, SL 34, Batian and Ruiru 11 on the clay-loam foothills of Mount Kenya. Ripe cherries are sorted, pulped, fermented overnight, washed, graded and dried on raised beds for 8-14 days.”
