“Gura Factory is one of 19 factories in Kenya's Othaya Farmers Cooperative Society, which counts more than 14,000 members across southern Nyeri. Gura's 500 active members deliver cherry for a 15-hour ferment, a 16-hour cold water soak and two to three weeks drying on raised tables, before the parchment is density-sorted and dry-milled at Othaya. Four Barrel has bought from Gura for years; this washed SL 28 and SL 34 lot cups vetiver, brown sugar, cedar and pineapple.”
