“Yesica Llanqui Ale is a leading woman in her area and an active participant in coffee related activities in her community. She is a promoter of women's participation in specialty coffee production and advocate for those who need support in their farm projects. She has achieved recognition in Cusco Region and has a bit of a local following for character and success as a high-end producer. This Gesha was hand picked at peak ripeness. All cherries are washed to eliminate impurities and then floated cherries are discarded. Cherries are then de-pulped and fermented for 30 hours until the mucilage separates from the parchment. Once this process is finished, coffee beans are washed and put out to dry on shaded drying beds for 16 days. Once coffee beans reach just under 11% moisture content approximately, they are sealed in GrainPro bags and polypropylene bags.”
