“Kiangoi is a small producer group in Kirinyaga County, in the buffer zone around Mount Kenya National Park, where 950 members farm plots of one to four acres. Ripe cherries are pulped with a three-disc pulper, fermented overnight, soaked and then dried on raised beds for 7 to 15 days, using water from the Nyamindi River that is recirculated through soaking pits. Flower Child's final coffee of the season, it is 99% SL-28 and SL-34, the Bourbon-lineage selections that give Kenyan coffee its juicy structure.”
