Highlights
“This lot comes from the Aguilera Brothers and their micromill in Los Robles de Naranjo, Costa Rica's West Valley. Decades of family know-how and close control from cherry to drying show in the cup: precise, sweet and remarkably clean for a yellow honey process. The variety is San Roque, also known locally as Kenia, a Costa Rican selection closely related to SL-28. Bright, juicy acidity with well-defined fruit: star fruit and baked pear layered over toffee-like sweetness, finishing long and tidy. Roasted lightly for espresso to emphasize clarity and texture — a syrupy shot with high sweetness and crisp definition that also holds its shape in milk. Producer: Aguilera Brothers. Farm: Finca Chayote. Region: Los Robles de Naranjo, West Valley. Altitude: 1,400–1,650 m.a.s.l.”
