“Maria Fernandez Izquierdo is one of the first members of PAWQARA, a co-op of friends, neighbours and families in the Chirinos district of Peru working with importer Swift Coffee to sell their 2025 crop of microlots. Her 2-hectare plot grows a blend of Yellow Caturra, Pache and Bourbon on small mountainside farms carved out of the hills. This microlot is kept separate from community lots and sold on its own - a reflection of the care and community behind it.”
