Highlights

“Shantawene is a smallholder village in Bensa, Sidama, set between Bombe village and the Bombe mountain at roughly 2,300 masl. Local growers are garden farmers, cultivating coffee in the plots around their homes and picking cherries from trees that grow naturally on their land. For this natural lot, cherries are density sorted, hand sorted on drying tables and dried slowly in the Ethiopian sun, then dry-hulled and trucked to Addis Ababa for milling and export.”
