We have proudly featured Aquiares African Washed Esperanza for several years, and this unique honey-processed lot offers an entirely new expression of one of our favorite varieties. Aquiares Estate is a highly respected coffee farm in Costa Rica known for its sustainable growing practices and dedication to producing exceptional specialty coffee. The Red Honey process involves removing the cherry skin but leaving most of the mucilage intact during drying, allowing the sugars to slowly ferment and infuse the bean with intense sweetness while retaining remarkable clarity of flavor.”
