Highlights
“A charity release: Dark Arts roasted this lot in collaboration with Rise Above Cancer, with proceeds going directly to support their mission. The coffee comes from El Cielo, the family farm Duglas del Rosario Molina Corzo established in 2016 at Villa Corzo, Chiapas, growing in fertile volcanic soils along the foothills of the Sierra Madre at 1,200–1,400 metres. Cherry is hand-picked at peak ripeness and worked the traditional washed way — a controlled 12 to 17 hour fermentation, thorough washing, then sun drying on zarandas and open yards. Marsellesa and Obata, and a lot that shows the role women producers play in Chiapas specialty coffee. In the cup: red cherry, hazelnut and milk chocolate.”
