“Marcos Herrera is a producer from Rodriguez Tafur, located at 1700 masl in Lonya Grande, Amazonas, Peru. He is regarded among the best specialty coffee growers in Peru and placed 2nd in a November 2023 regional competition. Since 2014 he has grown Geisha, Bourbon, and SL28. In 2024, Marcos achieved 14th place at the Cup of Excellence with this Natural Geisha from Mamaruntu farm. The farm name honors a Chachapoyas princess. Marcos inherited it from his father, whose nickname was 'Lost Bear.' His natural process involves selecting mature cherries, washing them, then fermenting in sealed plastic tubs for 72 hours before solar drying for 30 days.”
