“Worka Chelbessa is operated by SNAP, a vertically integrated Ethiopian coffee company. Around 765 smallholder farmers deliver ripe cherries to this washing station, where coffee is washed using the traditional Ethiopian method. It is the first of several SNAP washing stations to transition to solar power, making it just the second solar-powered washing station in the country.”
