“Karatu Coffee Factory was established in 1965 and serves smallholder producers from the surrounding Karatu, Gitwe, Kibiru, and Kigaa villages. Cherries are delivered to the factory, depulped, fermented, washed, and dried on raised beds for up to 15 days depending on weather and volume. The result is a bright, citrusy, and layered Kenya with a lively stone fruit profile.”
