“The Chelbesa Washed Lot is produced at the Chelbesa One Washing Station in the Gedeb Zone, Ethiopia, managed by SNAP Specialty Coffee. Approximately 1,000 farmers deliver cherry to this station, farming 2-3 hectares at elevations between 1,950 and 2,200 MASL. This lot consists of Ethiopian Heirloom varieties Korume and Wolisho. Cherries are depulped, dry-fermented for 2-3 days, then washed and dried on raised beds for 7-10 days.”
