“Las Perlitas is a community lot of exceptional quality from smallholder producers in Huila, Colombia. Oftentimes, a lot from a single producer may be too small to logistically separate and export, and will be blended in with other lots of varying quality to create a regional blend that can muddy transparency in the supply chain. With more intentional separating, community lots serve as a great way to increase market access to smallholders across various tiers of quality for their harvests, and can result in incredible coffees. This nano lot blend from top producers around Huila is loaded with big fruit flavors reminiscent of strawberry cream with the juiciness of a ripe nectarine - a fruity washed coffee, clean and refined rather than heavy handed.”
