Highlights
“Nevado de Huila is named after Colombia's highest volcano and brings together small lots from producers primarily around Santa María and Pitalito, in northern and southern Huila. The farms sit between roughly 1,600 and 1,900 metres above sea level, growing traditional Colombian varieties including Caturra, Castillo and Colombia. Each producer delivers to a regional buying station where samples are evaluated individually; approved lots move to the warehouse for further cupping and per-sack verification before being combined. Sourcing partner The Coffee Quest runs the programme to create a market for clean, sweet, well-produced coffees beyond the tiny high-scoring microlots that usually attract the most attention.”
