“The Hulikere family has grown coffee for three generations in the Bababudan Giri hills of India's Western Ghats, and Shreedev and Susmitha Hulikere are members of Kaad Kaapi, a collective of growers who put the forest first and treat coffee as a way to sustain it. Coffee By Design met them at the 2023 World Coffee Conference and toured the farm afterwards. Light roasted and hand-picked, the cup shows grilled plum, dried mango and brown spice.”
