“This is the first ever coffee from Laos offered by Bodhi Leaf. Twenty families in Gor Village grew this lot in a remote corner of northeastern Laos. Coffee was planted around Xam Neua roughly two decades ago but produced almost no income — the district was so far off the map that season after season passed without anyone in the trade knowing the farms existed. That changed in 2015 when exploratory trips into Houaphan turned up these forgotten farms and permanent buying and processing infrastructure followed.”
