“Mullugeta Muntasha was raised in Bursa, a community where coffee has only recently become an important crop. After years working in the supply chain, he returned home in 2021 to establish Dawencho, his own drying station. In its first year, Mullugeta earned sixth place in Ethiopia's Cup of Excellence while a farmer group connected to the station placed second. The following year, four of the competition's top ten coffees were processed at Dawencho, including the winning lot.”
