Highlights
“Ushirika comes from the Othaya Farmers' Cooperative Society in Nyeri, Kenya, and from SL28, SL34, Batian and Ruiru 11 trees between 1,600 and 1,900 metres. Black & White's point is that Kenya does not have to taste like Kenya: the cherry is pulped, fermented underwater for about a day, dry-fermented, submerged again and washed, and the result reads like a washed Colombian — low acidity, date and milk chocolate, orange zest and baked apple with cinnamon.”
