“Haider Abamecha owns and operates two-going-on-three farms plus several washing stations in Jimma, Ethiopia, and has worked in coffee for over thirty years, launching his first export venture in 2011. His sites at Limu Kossa carry Organic, Rainforest Alliance and C.A.F.E. certification and fund worker welfare and rural infrastructure programmes. Cherries are handpicked, pulped, fermented in water overnight, rinsed and dried on raised beds. The cup is soft florals over cooked-peach stone fruit, round body and a finish like black tea sweetened with dark sugar.”
