Highlights
“From the Nyaruguru district of Rwanda bordering Kayanza, Burundi, Busanze is a minimal-intervention natural processed coffee produced by an 81-member cooperative with 51 female-owned farms. The Red Bourbon variety contributes to the sweetness and high quality. Hand-picked, floated, hand-sorted, and sun-dried over a short period, this coffee balances red fruity notes and syrupy sweetness with the clarity and crispness of a washed coffee. The result tastes more like a black honey than a traditional natural. Notes of apple tart, raspberry, black tea, and baking spices define the cup.”
