Highlights
“A natural processed Kenyan lot sourced from two neighbouring washing stations, Njuriga (founded 1999, Njuriga Farmers' Cooperative Society, led by Pauline Mumbi Karim) and Gichichi (Othaya Farmers' Cooperative Society) in Nyeri County. Roughly 950 smallholders grow SL28, SL34, Ruiru 11 and Batian at 5,600-5,900 feet. Cherry is floated and hand-sorted, then dried whole in the sun on raised beds, giving deep jammy red fruit over Nyeri's sweet, bright base. Notes of cherry, blood orange and craisin; brew at about 200F in a 1:16 ratio.”
