“The Asproguate farmer's association was formed in 2014 by 100 producers to market their organic coffees. The association holds monthly workshops in organic fertilizers, fungicides, and insecticides so producers can make these essential products on their own farms. They also train on erosion mitigation and shade cover. 55% of producer members are women; This is great because there are some Cooperatives that require members to be land owners, who are typically men. We have been buying coffees from Asproguate for a number of years now because the quality is consistent.”
