“Tamiru Tadesse built Alo Coffee around Sidama Bensa after winning first place at the 2021 Ethiopia Cup of Excellence, and the Chilaka Station lot comes from smallholders around Alo Chilaka Village whose cherries are aggregated and processed at the company's Alo Village headquarters above 2,400 masl. This lot, variety 74158 grown at 2,350 masl, was dried in the whole cherry with an anaerobic cool-drying step. Archers rates it high on sweetness with moderate acidity, fermentation and roast.”
