“Hugo Pareja and Flor López farm in Cedrobamba, Inkawasi, in Peru's Cusco region at 2,300 masl. Eight years ago their cooperative handed them an unnamed seed that turned out to be Geisha - the locally cross-pollinated strain they now call Inca Geisha - and they have since built a nursery of 1,000 plants. This washed lot was pulped, fermented nine hours, washed with clean water and dried on pallets for eight days before Animal Coffee roasted it medium. It scored 89 points.”
