“Finca La Lesquinada sits near Celaque National Park in Corquín, Copán, and Walter and Sergio Romero are its fourth-generation growers. The 80-hectare farm carries Parinema and Obatá alongside the more common Pacamara, and the whole cherry dries in the sun on patios for one to two weeks before depulping. The brothers' family also runs CAFICO, the Corquín cooperative founded in 2009 by 35 producers, which stabilises local prices and funds libraries, computer labs, a women's hospital restoration and household water filters. Animal Coffee roasts it medium; it scored 86 points.”
