“This lot of 100% Caturra comes from a small one hectare farm operated by Ana Nohemí Pérez, a second generation coffee producer near Concepción Huista in Huehuetenango. The land was passed down from Ana's grandfather to her father, who transformed it from an uncultivated plot into a promising coffee business. With Ana overseeing the processing and drying, this lot delivers stone fruit, apple and chocolate with a remarkably balanced cup and soft, creamy body. Ana is a member of Jovemcafe, a local organization of 25 women undertaking development-focused initiatives including a community chicken coop and a nursery for forest trees.”
