“The third Amauta release built on smallholder plots linked to Daye Bensa, the Ethiopian producer and exporter founded by brothers Assefa and Mulugeta Dukamo. The coffee comes from family parcels in the Malawo community, Arbegona district, Sidama, at roughly 2,200 metres, where coffee shares the land with sugar cane, enset, spices and vegetables. It is fully washed and made up of 74158 (Kurume), a selection from local landraces catalogued by the Jimma Agricultural Research Centre. Amauta describes the cup in Spanish as destaca por sus notas a Mandarina, Melocoton y cítricos como la Bergamota - mandarin, peach and bergamot.”
