Tips & Preparation
Reason to Try:
- This recipe brings more crisps refreshing taste, the final cold coffee is close to 1.35 TDS.
- Traditional cold coffee brewing coffee over ice, using a 6:4 water to ice ratio.
- Flash brew is 8:2 water to ice ratio, and bring down temperatures before pour over ice.
Theory or idea behind:
- The goal is to cool the coffee with as little ice as possible to avoid dilution.
- Use more water to brew, push extraction to 1:18
Note:

Aim for a final coffee temperature of 5-15°C before pouring over ice.

Brewing coffee normally and then adding ice to cool it down.

Recipe Steps

Bloom phase, pour 60g water (1:3 ratio)for 1 minute.

Pour 90g water(to 150g) and let it sit for 45 seconds.

Pour 90g water( up to 240g). Don’t do too much agitation.
Swirl to flatten the bed.
Add melting ice cubes (60g) and stir until they melt down.
Pour over the cup of ice ready for drink(Because the temperature, the ice should not dilute coffee further)
