Hario V60 Neo 2-Pour Brew Method
"A simple two-pour recipe for light roast coffee using V60 Neo dripper."
Tips & Preparation
-
The recipe is for light roasts. For other roast levels, gradually increase the grind size beyond light roast and slightly lower the water temperature. (Example: Medium roast = Medium-fine grind, water temperature 90°C. Medium-dark roast = Medium grind, water temperature 87°C)
-
Compared to the V60, the NEO has more ribs, allowing efficient extraction across the entire dripper surface. Its design minimizes clogging and over-extraction, and its faster extraction speed means a finer grind is used.
-
Rinsing (pre-wetting the coffee equipment and filter paper with hot water) is recommended if the equipment is extremely cold, as it lowers the temperature inside the dripper and affects extraction.
-
The more steps involved in brewing coffee, the more variables increase, leading to inconsistent flavors each time.
